Guest House

Situated in Pekanbaru, the building is conceived as an addition to the pre-existing house. This 3-bedroom expansion is designed in a linear manner to let the guests experience the house continuously. The spatial organization also allows space for greeneries to exist within the urban context, which is considered to be a challenge nowadays, thus consequently provides an outdoor communal area for residents to sit and relax by the poolside.
The long corridor that connects to the old house is raised off the ground to provide shading for the pool and the garden below while capitalizing the views. Inside, an indoor communal area has been equipped with amenities including a kitchen, dining room, and living room. The operable windows offer an elegant solution for bridging the gap between the indoors and outdoors.
